They shouldn't have layer feed until they are mature, because it has too much calcium for them right now. I am sure someone with more experience will chime in soon!

Tax season is over! Well, at least our firm's tax season hours are over. So, now I have more time to hang out on BYC! My ducks are doing well. Daisy has bumblefoot right now, but she is doing okay. All the girls are laying eggs now! A lot has changed in the world lately, so I hope everyone is...

Haha that's so funny! It cracks me up because when they were younger the boys bothered them to death to mate but now it's almost like the girls annoy the boys.

I think so, my one runner always walks close to one of the boys and does it to the other girls, like she is claiming him.

Hmm, I haven't had any eggs since November and it has been warm and spring-like for several days... I am always paranoid that I'm just not finding them or that my dogs are stealing them!

All of my girls are loud all the time for no apparent reason! The runners are especially talkative and sassy and they like to do the disco with their heads all the time.

It may not be the food, I just thought it might since the change happened around the same time. I love pellets because they are less messy, so I might try this new Purina duck pellets, if I can get it somewhere!

I will have to see if mine has them. Do you have to order the bags every time now or do they just carry it now? And how does it smell?

Hi everyone! I have recently switched from Mazuri to Flock Raiser since my flock has grown to save some money. I have noticed that the eggs taste a little fishier since I have done that. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, now that all of my ducks are grown, would there be something better...

The boys will be 1 year in March, Daisy is 9 months, and the babies are 4 months. Daisy quit laying in November and hasn't started back up yet, so hopefully everyone will be laying soon!

We had a little photo shoot until I got pooped on, so we didn't get everyone's head shot, but here is a picture of them tearing up the yard in the rainy weather as well as the head shots we did manage to get.
