Hi! This may not be what you're looking for, but I just posted an ad for two Pekins and one Khaki Campbell (2 hens and Pekin drake). They are not real tame. Not sure if you wanted an existing family. I'm in West Palm Beach.
I'm moving back north and require a home for my Pekin drake and hen, and Khaki hen. Can anyone suggest a contact if you don't have a home yourself? Despite my best efforts they are skittish; if they were lap ducks I would take them to the ends of the earth with me. I can drive 100 miles or so...
I have a solitary Khaki Campbell hen 3 months old. She is not being treated well by my drake runner and Pekin, though the two Pekin hens are decent to her. I must keep her separated or put the drakes in jail to maintain her well being.
I'm in Palm Beach County, FL. Anyone able to give a good...
I was surprised to hear my little Khaki letting out tiny quacks mixed in with her peeps at around 2 weeks or less. At first I thought it was an obstructed airway but now at almost 4 weeks she has soft, little quacks mixed in 50/50 with peeps. So darn cute.
Thanks to all the Backyard posters here and YouTube Videos, I recognized bumblefoot in my 1 year old rescue Jumbo Pekin female. I was surprised that such a tiny calcified/keratinized area could lead to so much swelling.
I soaked her for about 15 minutes in the sink, then slowly worked on the...
Unfortunately, yes. Though I tell myself I could hear frantic quacking, that might not always be the case. Lots of cats around, too. I've heard and experienced the horror stories of raccoons pulling wings and feet through the mesh, but with this 1/2" wire cloth doubled in some parts, I don't...
Hi,
I have a drake and hen Pekin and a drake runner. They are out all day on about 1/3 acre full of South Florida insect, worm, amphibian, and reptile treats. They sleep in a very secure 1/2" square welded wire cage with a heavy frame since I have had so much unfortunate experience with...
I know the answer, but I just need to hear it from experienced readers. I have two drake Welsh Harlequins and a drake runner that are having lots of chasing and dominance/mating activity. They continue in their night pen. They are exactly 9 months old. A 3 month old pair of Pekins, duck & drake...
Woodmort, you have solved this! I searched online and within seconds found this website: https://www.trap-anything.com/signs-of-mink-present.html

I'm so sorry for your loss, and the uncertainty. Just thinking/writing out loud...what if a good sized dog entered, then got stuck, and did more damage trying to get out? I agree with posters who say the wet feathers, looking like they have been worked over a little bit, look like a dog who has...
Hi,
At first I was thinking this was a very young duckling, but as I reread, this could be the natural voice change if she is around 5-6 weeks. You probably know by know, since this was written weeks ago! Anyway, in my experience a hen always exhibits her voice change before a male develops his...
I am fortunate to have found a wonderful family in Miami with two drake Welsh Harlequins for sale. My runner and the two made each others' acquaintance and though a little confused at first they are nestled happily in their night cage.
I lost my 3 runner hens to a raccoon Saturday morning. I have a bulletproof 1/2" x 1" welded wire cage built off the ground, but it was so hot and they were being stubborn, I let them stay out. This was a hard lesson to learn, and I'm kicking myself since I knew better.
I'm in West Palm Beach...
