My husband buried chicken wire under the coop and attached the edges to the chicken wire that surrounds the coop. Nothing can dig in. He also doubled the wire that surrounds the coop by overlapping it so that the pattern did not exactly match making the holes even smaller. We lost a little...
I am new to this breed but my husband raised them when he was a child. This is his new passion. We have three pairs and all are sitting on eggs right now. We are so excited to see the new babies, we can't wait. He built his own coop and it is adorable. Will post some pictures later.
I have heard that pigs are very intelligent. Never owned one but love when an animal claims me. He must feel at home to be with your and your daughter. Have you named him yet?
Thanks for accepting me into the group. I am brand new raising tumbler pigeons. My husband did this as a child and is back into it. We were told they need red grit with iodine. We are having a hard time finding it. Can anyone help? We have the feed already but need this grit. Thanks again.
