I have a year old rooster that needs a new home ~ I'm not sure but maybe if I had more hens he wouldn't be so aggressive. So sweet to his 5 girls but he won't leave two of them alone and one is getting a bold spot. Getting a saddle on Tuesday but until then I think he needs to go. Please help :)
O gosh thanks so much, she's peaceful just sleeping I don't think I can do what your showing me, your birds are so lucky to have you. Yours is very alert compared to mine. She just is sleeping :(
Got a picture of her poop, very green with some white fluid, her crop is empty. Breast well muscled, under her legs it feels like a waterballoon, should I be looking more where the vent is, if it's protruding? It's so sad she just wants to sleep, no standing.
She just wants to sleep, not eating, drinking, not really pooping this has been day two. She about 4 and a couple weeks ago she was being bullied so I pulled her out of the coop and she seemed fine then walking, drinking and eating, not much of a egg layer and since she's been in the dog cage...
After doing allot of research, I believe my chicken has Coccidiosis. I'm on my way to Tractor Supply and getting Corid, but can someone tell me how to "how much" I can give my one sick bird? This would be in a dropper, as I can't even get her to drink or eat, she's been in a dog cage for about...
So I posted a few weeks ago my one hen seemed to be sick but not sure why, she was walking, standing and then sometimes would just sit down or fall over, laying there. I've been keeping her out of the coop and she was doing so much better, eating, drinking, but no laying of eggs, I think she...
I was wondering about that in the being beginning Mareks, but maybe I can cross that off my list!!! She looks great, except her crown (and some feathers missing) from being attacked from the other girls, maybe that's some head injury??? Eating good and still drinking. Thanks for the response...
Does Anyone have anything similar. Today she seemed to have 2 episodes (in an hour) of walking then wobbling down to a sitting position, stays there for a few minutes, gets up and then seems fine. Looks like she is in a daze!!!
A few days ago, I noticed one of my hens (1 of 15) being attacked by another and on her side. I immediately took her out of the (large, plenty of room) coop, and have had her alone in her own cage for the last few days. I daily let her out and notice that she is eating, drinking, etc. but then...
