It’s a growth of some sort

I have a ChickenGuard automatic pop door for my chickens that opens for them in the morning and closes at Sunset. Well worth the cost!

My hen was dead in the run this evening, had this strange growth on her neck I hadn’t seen before. Anyone seen something like this before? Is this a cancer or a pecking injury? We removed the rooster 5 days ago, and just have 5 hens (well, now 4). The run allowed more than 10 sq ft per bird.

I just added a long chain hanging from a rafter in the run, with a screw eyebolt at the end. I can screw that into a cabbage and the chickens can play tether ball!

Well, that would leave my entry out!! Chicken Math with building materials is real. LoL!!
