I have a variety. 2 buckeye( the other chicks), 3 Easter Eggers, 1 brahma, 2 Isa brown, 2 RIR, 2 Australorp, and 5 Asian black! I started out with a small flock of 6 isa brown about 6 years ago then chicken math happened lol

It’s not alone. It has two other chicks with it, then later will join my 15 grown chickens.

Well, it is a light brown egg...a little disappointed it’s not the typical blue/green...but so happy it’s really a girl!

These birds have me totally confused. They were purchased as pullets but I am worried about their comb redness. I’m new with pea combs and EEs...so any help?? The gray one is Skunky, the lightest one is Gertrude, and the one with the reddish head is Treehouse. They are 7 weeks old.

This is what I did when introducing new pullets to my existing flock. I would just shut the kennel for the night at first so no predator could get them. After they were all acclimated one of my hens was still being a bully to the new ones. She got put into “chicken jail” for a couple nights...

Any thoughts on gender? I got this chick at a feed mill that only sells pullets. However I’m starting to question because of the color appearing in its comb. It’s the only Light Brahma I have so I have nothing to compare it to. I know it’s mostly a wait and see...but the suspense is killing me...

I ordered ten Asian Black pullets. These look like mine. They all seem to have bigger combs than my two Black Australorp chicks of the same age. Assuming the hatchery didn’t get my order totally wrong I’d say pullets!
