I've had luck with Exzolt and S76. You can by Exzolt at https://pestiless.com/product/exzolt-50-ml-fluralaner/
It's not cheap, but it goes a ways.
I buy S76 from https://ladygouldian.com/S76-air-sac-mite-treatment
Not really cheap either, if you dose 3 days one week-2 day the second week-1 day...
Thanks Debbie. We have been running dehumidifiers for months we have the house down to and keep it at 35%. It does help tremendously so do air purifiers w/ ionization, but not a cure. I wish it was. We are doing much better, though we had to get rid of two couches (very nice leather) and I think...
Premo is made from plant based enzymes. It will assist you in breaking down the "glue" holding those eggs on. In my experience it doesn't kill fast enough and there isn't any residual killing time. Though I was dealing with NFM and tropical fowl mites.
PSP will kill for a while and in my...
I just very liberally mix it in with bedding. Im using boric acid powder no too. There is a lot of it so I can toss the bedding every morning are-coat the bedding if that makes sense
1. I am using garden sulfur >>https://www.amazon.com/Bonide-PRODUCTS-142-Sulphur-Fungicide/dp/B0035H7V34/ref=sr_1_5_pp?crid=1II7HUTR2BVEZ&keywords=sulfur&qid=1696277214&sprefix=sukfur%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-5&th=1
I started with organic sulfur, but I had to find ways to cut back on the money.
2. I...
You have to shock with ozone generators or you run the risk of degasing finishes in your house, which can be very toxic. 30 mins on, 40 rest time repeat 3-4 times daily. Each room. The problem is you chase them from room to room is you are hitting them simultaneously. Now this doesn't mean you...
My experience over the last 5 months is DE is useless once you have an infestation. I plowed through 30lbs and it had zero effect. I wish I would have started with the sulfur and boric acid/borax from the get go. The DE put me behind the ball.
I'm using sulfur in the coop, enclosure and their dust bath. Its does help. Its been part of my 20 prong battle plan, lol. Baking soda has helped too. Salt, borax and sulfur are regular deliverfor me now.
It does... low humidity and cold. They (especially eggs) can still go dormant, but it gives you a huge headscarf on them in early spring, before their numbers get out of control.
I'm happy to report after 3 very long months for my chooks, my dogs, myself, my house, my property and my coop/barn all are finally improving. It has been unbelievable, literally. I'm SO glad you are getting a handle on it. I actually am bringing some parasite sample to an entomology lab next...
Dipping is really the only thing that seems to pack a punch. It's a pain bathing 29 chickens, lol. I didn't dip in NEEM, though I've coated my coop in it several times. I used Captain Jack's
Dusting puts a small dent in them.
Peat moss in their dust baths has seemed to help, maybe because it's...
You have to dig... you can order smaller doses from sellers overseas... it is NOT CHEAP. I believe mine ultimately came from Bulgaria. But a little goes a very long way. It's dosed and calculated by water intake over a 24 hour period. All the abstracts I've read, basically state, it's damn near...
Hi Dawn,
I have some very recent posts about this. I'm still getting my butt kicked. They got in my house, our clothes (which really set us back with the hatch cycle - laundry is a whole thing now) on my dogs, in our cars and on us. I swear we are very clean people and so are my birds. It...
Yes, I am just heart broken. I love my birds... and now I can barely be around them and when I am I am totally stressed out. I can't believe this happening to this extent. Please know my birds are totally spoiled and my coop & enclosure are very well kept. Cleaned every week for 4 years. Dry and...
