Bought these girls, and one Roo from McMurray hatchery. They were Murray’s Favorites, but no breed listed. I know one is a crested polish obviously! Lol .. and the ones with dark beaks possibly EEs? But not sure.. what about the white one? Or the other crested? Possibly a silky?? Any help...

I love my girls egg songs! I have 12, only a few of them are really loud, but it’s just during their laying time and then they quiet down. It tells me I’ll have beautiful fresh eggs soon!

This is what we built. More like a shed coop. We love it! I took ideas from everyone as you are and built plenty of space, lots of ventilation and use the DLM for the floor. It’s all worked out great. My girls are happy! Good luck!

We put in six boxes for our 7 girls, knowing more were to come. (We have 10 - 6 week old EEs). These have worked out great. Especially with the little roost on the top ones so they can get to them.

Welcome! I also use DLM but spot clean every 2-3 days, especially under where they sleep on the roosts. Adding fresh bedding which helps it smell good again. Sometimes I take out half of all pine shavings and put new. Just as needed
