I have six ducks and one is clearly female and was sold as such and the other five were straight run. They are about 14 ish weeks old and none of them have a curled tailed feather but they also don’t quack and scream like the one that is a known female. Should it be obvious by now if they are...

They are about 6 ish weeks old give or take a week ....that are half and half with the feathers but haven’t needed a heat lamp inside for two weeks now.

I have six ducklings (though they look like adult ducks) living near my bedroom and the smell is really making me nauseous ...when will I be able to let them live outside full time? I’m hoping it’s soon haha

There was no doubt in my mind that they have it, they both have normal right wings but their left wings stick straight up in the air vertically , I’ve wrapped them with vet tape and redo it every other day so I won’t be able to post a picture for a couple days.

I don’t really cut their feed, I let them free feed on the 18% food and then also add in oats and alfalfa pellets as extras ...a few more of them seem to be getting angel wing as well. What’s going wrong?

I’m feeding them oats, though they don’t really like them, chick starter/grower (18%) and I added soaked alfalfa pellets today as well.

Yes they are separate from the chickens , I suppose I can do the maintenance food and add free choice oyster shells. Thanks!

I already have wrapped it. It was clearly angel wing. It stuck straight up in the air on the left side and the right side is normal which i also know is common. Angel wing happens to only target the left wing or both wings but never the right wing by itself.

Well for the first 2-3 weeks I had them on duckling starter/grower which was 20 or 22% protein then after that I changed to chick starter/grower which is 18% protein but I’ve read they might need around 16 percent at this age but they don’t make such a thing unless it’s for adult ducks 18 weeks...

So then would you recommend getting a waterfowl maintenance food and then supplementing with oyster shell instead of the all flock feed ?

Wow ...I won’t be able to do this. I need something quick and easy. I have 11 chickens, six ducks, four dogs, a cat a fish a toddler and I’m pregnant. There’s no way I’m going to fuss with separating them and such... I just don’t have that sort of time 😂

How do I meet the nutritional needs of my laying ducks and my drakes who live in the same enclosure ? I’m confused because all flock is a no no apparently for the laying ducks but the drakes don’t need the excess calcium that the females do so what’s the solution?

They are 4 weeks and 5 weeks I believe. I think they were too hot and trying to cool off in their waterer. Ever since I turned off the heat lamp they haven’t been trying to splash in the waterer. They aren’t huddled together to sleep either they have been spread out.
