The dog is roadkill.
The ahole turkey seems to have far too much testosterone. It's seriously messed up in the head. I had to actually fight it and win, then it peeved off. It jumped at me and left a long bruise on my calve. It stalks and curses at me, but only attacks when I turn my back or...
One of the turkey hens has lost its mind today!
WTF
Suddenly nasty towards its friend today, found them fighting through a pallet fence, covered in blood and nonstop chasing & attacking the other. Attacked me & left a big mark when I separated them.
It caught the other by the lower beak. The...
TSC has given my coop mites!
Opened the nest door and they're swarming all over the coop!
What do I use to kill them? Do I need to spray the birds? They seem unaffected by them. But they have spread onto my dog & they come off onto me when I play with him. Ugh
NOT the mini white meat bird.
Looking to see if anyone breeds for miniature or bantam turkeys??
They make banty ducks, why not turkeys?
Turkeys are more interactive than chickens, but are huge. Hoping someone, somewhere, is breeding for a banty gobbler.
Well, the little 💩s started escaping non-stop. So, out they went!
I don't know how they get poop up so high...anywho, they're doing okay out there. Turkeys will probably be the biggest problem, as they aren't allowed in the coop itself. Enclosed the run, so they're out there at night. But...
Roo & hen mutts.
Now 6wks old, fully feathered. Should I try to introduce them now or keep them inside until adults?
Idk if they'll get larger, so they're currently no issue with being inside.
Forgot that the bandy hen vanished recently.
So, 3 hens down in all.
About to list 2 of the roos, as they're stalking me. They'll start attacking soon. Hate roos so much.
Had to use a plant greenhouse and the pan heater for the night.
It then took a dip in the "hottub" that was in there for humidity. It was much happier in there than dry n out. Wtf.
Got the bin I used for the birds this spring set up and moved baby in there with a heat lamp. It was so mad!
Moved...
Candled the 4 remaining eggs because mom won't sit on them any more.
Heard one peep then move around, others looked empty.
Put together a bin, hoping it works out and mom will take it once dry. Up to 82F and climbing. Had to dribble some water on it and open it some.
