Good to hear Russell (love the name, btw. For some reason, it seems to fit a bird) is doing better and back in action. Amazing how resilient these guys really are. We worry ourselves into a frenzy, and they just want mealworms. Lol. Ty for posting!
Good news! I always like it when there's a happy ending. Healing happens but, all in all he's good to go! Happy for him. Thanks again for the update. He's a lucky boy to have a human that cares for him like that.
Maybe contact the moderators, and see if we can get this on the homepage, or something about it, anyhow. I had never heard of this. So many things to learn. I am glad I am compiling a binder with all the information I have gathered on behavior, breed, illness, etc. Quick reference is all. I am...
Yay!! Better is always good. I had a girl with bumble foot. For gauze I have wrapped a warm wet (not soaked but good and wet) washcloth around the foot to moisten the area, and gauze comes right off. Just a thought, if you can apply it in the future. I am very happy to hear he is better, though. 😁
Thank you so much. I am happy to be back! Life has been very hectic for the last few months. Getting it together though. Hope you are well? Yes, please keep us posted. Styptic powder was an investment I have been greatful for, on more than one occasion. It works for animal and human. So much we...
Do you have styptic powder?? It's a bleed stop powder. I have used it. If it is wrapped, I would definitely keep her in a quiet area to heal. Butterfly tape sometimes works well. Otherwise, not being an expert, the other suggestions are good as well. Please do keep us posted??
Yeah. Brand new truck (for us). Persephone felt the need to inspect the roof. Lol. I laughed. Hubby waited a long time for his truck... He wasn't impressed. 😁
This was right on time, for me. I had a girl lay a "rooster egg" 2 days ago. Never seen them... Ever. I really took in a lot from this, and learned how much eggs can tell you about health. Thanks for sharing!
I always enjoy reading others issues, and achievement with their birds. I don't think we can possibly know everything on our own. This was a well written, and informative article. Some of us forget that drying is as important as removing. Thank you for sharing your experience! Much appreciated...
