Parents are from a mixed flock that had Roo and hen frizzles. I know about the double frizzle breeding not being good, so Ive been keeping a very close eye. The others dont show any type of bend or frill in their feathers. That I can tell- haha!
Hey Ya'll!
I was wanting opinions. Do you think little Marley is a frizzle? Compared to her mates, her feathers are for sure not flat. :love:jumpy
Thank you!

Hello BYC!
Well, today is day 3 post hatching of 6/22 shipped Serama eggs. They are all doing well and enjoying nibbling on fresh micro-greens. They really enjoyed them :love. I was pleasantly surprised to see the grey/white and buff/white wing feathers starting to show on the yellows <3...
Most welcome! I can help but do the same when it's hatching time! I can sit and watch the eggs for hours. Just to see a tiny wobble. Hang in there. They really do know best what to do. <3 <3 <3
AAAWWWWWWW!!! Silkies are beautiful! I have been wondering about them and the Polish chicken with fancy head dress. I have read that both are susceptible to eye problems and mites.
What has been your experience?
GOOOOOD LUCK on your hatching! <3 <3 <3
DONT BE DUNKING the eggs in water. A lot goes into the hatching process and some things we dont see or know when event are happening, 21 days is the average rule.
At this point, I would suggest candling the eggs if none have externally pipped. Use a very bright light and look for...

I took a chance and ordered 22 Serama eggs via farm listed on EBay. The eggs were delayed in shipping as there was a long holiday weekend. Upon arrival 11/22 were totally scrambled, 1 not fertile, rest were quitters. These six made it! I would not call this a success, but...
Thank you! I didnt notice until I saw the photo unclose [old eyes]. The detail in the comb is what got my attention. Some of the other have no visible comb, some have just a hint, and then these 2 have tiny combs with detail.
Are you familiar with the Serama?
Hello BYC Friends!
I am Shannon with Pato Point Farm LLC. :frow I recently ordered Serama chicken hatching eggs from EBay. I know this is always a gamble with odds against successful hatchings, but living in a rural area, it's not easy finding what you want.
SO! Today is Day 22. On day 20...
The peeps have arrived on DAY 16, and in just a bit longer DAY 17. They are both still active and have room in the shell. They won't be for much longer and will be much harder to see. *Insert nerves! I have left them in upright incubation and will do so until lockdown.
The photos are...
