Ok so here's where my.mind wonders later at night now I've watched all there is on Netflix. Should we experience a recession like the 30s or worse forced starvation due to not taking whatever we are forced to do next. (Chicken raising is a gateway drug to conspiracy) how could one make their own...
I have been trying for 2 years to find the cause of my roosters feet problem. Looks same as this cant be mites, you'd think the Vaseline paste I make with the pesticide they sell would eventually get them if it was. Plus it's only the roo. I'm almost convinced by the backs of my girls that he...
Did you ever find an answer? My rooster has messed up feet too. Been like this for over a year treated for mites, although no other bird has bad feet, cleaned them pulled out broken feathers etc. Tried everything. Still the same. I'm thinking the feathers break and his feet get messed up...
Was this ever solved? I been treating my rooster for legs mites for a year. I will assume it isn't mites. He's lost a toe now. None of the other birds show any signs of whatever it is. But all the hens have saddles worn in now. Thinking it's time he lives in a kennel.
I thought maybe mites, I've checked under her wings for bugs and her legs seem ok. She's just very interested in her feet. Other than that she was on the top perch today. So not weak.
Was this ever resolved? I noticed my Muscovy coop had green poop and I first thought oh green leafy stuff. Then went. Oh dummy it's winter. All they have had is scratch and layer ration. I cleaned the coop today, cleaned water and food containers and noticed one duck had plugged nostrils cleaned...
I got a bunch of hatchlings from a farm. They had several breeds of chickens free ranging. I asked for wyandottes and brahmas. Most of the brahmas I have look very brahma-ish with proper pea combs . The wyandottes I have two nice proper roosters but there's not one hen with the same comb. Does...
Did it stay that way. Mine prefer to perch on the 8ft fence all night. One can't fly well and if it does over shoots the fence and gets stuck outside. I worry about predators to I chase that one down every night and leave the others out. It really just wants to be with its friends. Chickens are...
I think mine are fed up with chicken shenanigans, they are 3 month old Muscovy ducks and this week have decided perching on the 8ft fence rail is a good place to sleep for the night. They refuse to come inside. Canadian winter Im Sure will change that. As well as the drastic drop in chicken...
Mine fight over June bugs. And they are huge. Basically anything that enters the coop never leaves. I've started leaving a light on at night and the window open to draw the bugs in. Keeps them happy it seems.
