My inflation chickens, are surviving, my eggs sell for $3.00 Instead of $2.00. I wish I could go back to bantams , full size poops to much. I'm now selling eggs but 10 hens and a rooster, takes a lot of feed. My wife was at Texas Road House, a girl was trying to find somebody to take a hen...
One of my brown leg horn hens lays double yolk eggs, for Such a small chicken, my 2 give me several Eggs a week. Any more out of 7 hens I get 2 to 3 a day!
I live on one acre, with mostly corn field's around so I have lost some to Hawk's, skunks, Raccoons. Has been a learning experience, so I have a small run inside a bigger one that I let them out during the day.
I ordered in 2021 got 3 roosters and 5 hens, 2 each of 4 breeds, ordered hens, but oh well . Arrived alive and well. My first order was from Murray McMurray, have got chicks from Rural King, Tractor Supply, My Pet Chicken, never had any problems, M. Mcmurray , had to drive 30 miles to the...
When I first started I had Cochin bantams, but now I have large chickens so I've got 3 Rhode island reds, 2 cuckoo marans, 2 brown leghorns, and a Rhode island red rooster. The white egg layers are fun to watch, but I like the R.I. reds.
All three I've had would attack my leg, if they weren't so small it Wouldn't be so funny. Glad I don't have them anymore. Bantams are my favorites don't eat as much feed. Now have full size.
In 2021 I ordered 8 from MT Healthy, 2 of each breed, 3 turned out roosters, but had no trouble they survived, it was my first time ordering from them. I've had tractor supply, and Rural King, chicks no problems.
Counted my chicks this morning, thought I'd lost my mind counted 8, even though our dog accidentally killed one last week, I'm guessing they sent an extra in the box? Now if I could get them to stand still so I could tell what breeds they are, but nearly 3 week old chicks just won't stay still.
Have a grown Rhode island red hen and rooster. Ordered 2 Rhode island red s, 2 cuckoo marans, 2 Brown leghorns, 2 Partridge Plymouth Rocks. Got them June 30th.
