Thanks for the reply! Even though I have no interest on the topic now.. I'll update when they get older for future people who may have the same question.
Tractor supply had 3 "colors" of Turkens but nothing labeled.
The black ones seemed self explanatory.
But the other 2 or 3 were this light sort of pale yellow, a very similar yellow but slightly darker... and then these stripey ones.
What colors did I get??
I know this is an old post but it might help someone reading. I've had hens that would develop one single shriveled wattle out of nowhere and I thought it was dehydration but it was actually an indication that they had internal health issues. Antibiotics were necessary. If both wattles and comb...
Oh and yes it's absolutely that egg. It was the first one to hatch out of 6 incubated eggs. Everyone else is black. Idk if I can post the video of it hatching.. but it looks just like a turken baby lol I have a buff turken. Could that be the mom?
Whoooooah! Thats so cool thank you!! I do have an ISA brown and the only other white feathered hen i have would be a splash Ameracauna but this chick came from a brown egg not a blue one like hers. This is fascinating thank you for your response!
I originally hatched it out in an incubator and then slipped him/her under a broody silkie who is now her mom.
Dad is definitely a Lavender Ameracauna
I have a lot of breeds of hens but majority of Lavender's babies are black.
So why is this little guy/gal WHITE?!
The neck in a video when...
I only noticed the white dot on its head recently and thought that was odd for the other crosses I was trying to hatch bc they never had that before. Then i noticed how absolutely orange its legs were and it had stripey wings?!
(Then I noticed it has a crossbeak. 😭)
Had to be a barred rock and...
Lavender Ameracauna crossed with??
The only dad can be a Lavender Ameracauna... but I only have 2 laced hens. A Wyandotte and a barnevelder.
Could also be a blue copper maran he's?
My husband accidentally called this one. The one I wanted to save.
I'd like to be able to make this cross...
I would also like to ask if anyone has used it for cats or dogs upper respiratory infections. I understand this is a poultry forum but I can't find much on the internet on it working on anything else BUT chickens and ducks and one time I saw it mentioned for a turtle's upper respiratory...
I think you read something wrong..
But..
1.) there are no such thing as 'Americanas'
2.) All 3 Aracaunas, Ameracaunas and Easter Eggers come in a variety of color patterns.
3.) No one is saying that they lay multiple colored eggs. Not sure where that came from in the post you're referring...
