Was told large pet quality serama when I picked up. I breed pet quality seramas for my own endeavors, this girl is a bit big. Has slight feathers on legs. I feel like maybe a serama mix? Or japanese bantam mix?
Ft ugly photo of me holding her for size reference.
I feed her a fermented mixture of nutrena 20% all flock and 16% layer crumbles. She gets oyster shell as well. She used to lay about every other day. She hasn't laid in about 2 weeks. She had started eating her eggs. I witnessed her rooster(she was part of a pair) keeping her from the food. And...
I got home the other day and she had serious wry neck. She is an indoor only chicken. I immediately gave her an oral dose of poultry cell. I have polish and silkies, vitamin deficiencies are always a worry. But 2 days later. Now she barely walks. Her wattles are on and off pale. I finally got...
I think it goofed up the order of those pictures. But the double barred roo isn't the dad. The single barred roo and the hen with the purple wall behind her are the parents.
I am establishing a breeding project. As this color is just something I am absolutely obsessed with since the first one was an oops from my cuckoo polish breeder. She's never had one this color come out of her line in all the years she's had them. They do not mix with the other birds either. BUT...
What I had thought to be one of my polish ladies eggs because of the size, ended up being from one of my silkies, it was the first baby to hatch out of the 5 eggs I have in the incubator today. The mom is a blue frizzled Silkie, the dad is a double barred cuckoo polish. The baby has come out...
Hello all my lovely chicken people!
Recently my absolute baby, Gary, my 5 month old double barred polish rooster hasnt been crowing as much. He acts normal. Just like he always has acted, but instead of crowing around 630-730am and thru the day and before bed time, he hasnt been. I've checked...
They are doing so so so much better. I put the blue stuff and ointment on their heads. Trimmed around their eyes. Gave them some hay and treats and things to play with and gave them more protein to cover all bases and they haven't been pecking eachother anymore. My 2 silkies who weren't part of...
I was leaning on pullet, BUT my mom sent me more pictures of it and the comb has me wondering. I had 2 silkie frizzle mix babies so mine looked different than a full silkie would. Now I'm leaning towards cockerel
I need help asap. They randomly started pecking my boy at 3.5 months old. I put blue ointment on his head. Now all 3 of my girls are pecking eachothers head and ripping crest out. I don't want them to kill eachother. I don't know what to do. I love my babies. My silkie girls are completely fine...
Its a little early to tell, but I'd almost bet the white one is a pullet and the other is a roo. Can't be certain tho. My Gary had a pullet crest and gave all pullet signs until he started crowing at 9-10 weeks
Also the one In the last picture has a completely different tail from Gary. Rounded/squared off like my girls. Gary has longer pointed tail feathers in comparison *Gary butt in attachment for comparison
Definitely. Going by crest all of them are pullets. Still concerned for one other but the other 2 are definitely pullets. So out of 6 chickens I've got 4 definite pullets. The one farther to the right is the other one in question. The only other one bucking up with Gary. And what looks to be...
