What exactly is the difference between an Easter Egger and Olive Egger when it comes to breeding and genetics?
Both need a blue egg and I see you cross a lighter brown egg for an Easter egger but that still gives green right? So I'm confused what the difference is.
Where does pink eggs come...
I am hatching out F1 and F2 Olive Eggers using different hens with my welsummer rooster. Since welsummers are autosexing, would any of my chicks be? Thanks!

sorry I should have clarified. I would like to breed for egg color. I have a lot of brown layers as well so I am not really interested in hatching those at this time. I am more wondering what I would get out of:
Welsummer roo crossed with Olive Eggers (lay shades of green)
Welsummer roo crossed...
I have a variety of hens that all lay different color eggs. What would be a good egg color to cross with my welsummer roo? Likely green layers to make different generations/shades of olive eggers? I am new to hatching so any info would be helpful!
Thank you!
These are the chicks in question. I believe "Tweety" is obviously a pullet...is it possible for any of others to be pullets even though they have the red in them? "Annabella" is the only one with a red comb and waddles...
So..I have updated info...I believe they will be olive Eggers. EE mom lays light green. Here they are- I will post pictures of the chicks as well. Do you think they may lay speckled green?
I purchased chicks that are a cross between a welsummer rooster and an Easter egger hen.
Are they Olive Eggers or Easter Eggers? What color eggs should I expect?
Is it possible for the females to have red in them like dad or will the red mean cockerel?
I'd love any info, pictures, or insight...
