~Update~
My chicks aren't looking like EEs OR Speckled Sussex.
I've never seen this coloring before, does anybody have any ideas about what they are? (The last feathers on both of their wings are pure white.)
They dried off for the most part, they weren't dripping wet or noticeably moist. The down on their bellies was just a little spiky and wet-looking.
They're definitely eating/drinking and not looking lethargic right now, so that's a relief. Two of the chicks' poop is watery but not bloody.

I had to drive somewhere quite far yesterday, and I came home to my chicks' previously full waterer being completely empty, and the bedding, across the whole brooder, being wet.
The poor chicks' tummies were also damp, so I changed the brooder's bedding right away. It was my fault for the most...
Given the lacing, it looks like a Silver laced Sebright!
Although the legs are the wrong color, Sebrights usually have blue-gray legs. Could it be a hybrid?
Seriously, I just got four baby chicks and I was a wreck with worry. Is the heat plate too cold? Too hot? Am I giving them enough food? Am I giving them enough water? Are they making the brooder too wet when they flap-dance in it? Did I use the right bedding? Should I have not let her eat that...
Here's a way to ensure your chickens' happiness. Keep doing everything you already do for them!
I mean, just think about it: you free range them, play music for them, give them special treats, cuddle them, allow them to take baths in a special part of your garden... What makes you think they...
I'll lower the temperature a bit and see how they like it. Sometimes I let them out into the yard to explore for about 10-20 minutes and sometimes they find a tasty bug or two during playtime. I'll offer them grit after their outings.
Thank you for all of this info! I'm really grateful for this...
Thank you! No, I don't give them anything but starter and water (although they do find their wood shavings appetizing sometimes!) I'll cut back on giving it to them, I hope I didn't harm them by giving them grit if they didn't need it...
Also, wanted to ask... One of them drinks a lot more water than the other three chicks I have (not excessively, but noticeably) and likes to sleep farther away from my heat plate. She's just as healthy and active as the others, but wanted to ask why she was doing this. I'm giving them a few...
