Same! Mine are all pullets and on feed I get from tractor supply. None of them have gone through their first molt. So they have continued to lay at a normal rate. Even my chicken who is in infirmary.....still.. lol SmiYa...do you think it's our warmer than usual weather? I've been wondering...
Hahaha 😂 I can relate. My neighbors call me snow white because I always have random animals following me everywhere. Lol too bad they don't do chores like they do in the movie. :lau
This is a common problem for me. Sometimes even the "smart" ones can't figure it out. My favorite is when they go back in the run to get a drink and get "stuck" pacing the fence where the rest of the flock is out digging in the grass. :th
Late to this post but I have to say your girl was born and chose violence! Lol she's all kinds of gorgeous 😍. She reminds me of my girl Pickle, classy and a smart butt. Lol
Hey Kyle! I'm in berks county and was wondering if you still had any of the roos you mentioned in your post in Pennsylvania? I have a friend who lost his rooster and.is looking to replace it.
Haha, I wish that was the case....nope she was just running from me. Definitely think she didn't want to go back in the run. And yes, she is a piece of work. Lol guess that's why she's in charge. 🤷♀️
"If she’s laying, her vent should be moist and more white in color (and less pink-ish). It might also pucker while you’re down there taking a look." Hope that helps!
I was happily going about my chicken chores today. I left everyone out of the run to free range while I cleaned and filled waterer and feeder. (I've only been free ranging under supervision due to the increase in hawks later and even that makes me a little nervous). I can usually call them...
Oh no @LizGio I was literally just thinking about asking how she was doing. I was following along. I'm so very sorry to hear that. You did the best for her you could. Sending a virtual hug. :hugs
Well that sounds promising that his genetics are top notch and not bad statistics. Always a good day when you don't have to watch your back while working in the runs. 😁
