I want to sell some Male Cream Legbar X Female Black Rumpless Araucana chicks but I wonder what's standard practice if any when you sell chicks that aren't sex-linked and can't guarantee if they're male or not. I'll discount the price for the unknown factor but do people generally buy like this...
So I have a flock of 1 CL rooster, 5 CL hens (3 of those are progeny of the older 2), one rumpless black Araucana.
I've hatched 4 CL chicks, it was very obvious that the male chick was the only one with the white spot on it's head. He i
I decided to have a hatch of 10 very similar looking blue...

They do this chorus for maybe 5 minutes at a time occasionally throughout the morning and afternoon.
Does it mean anything?
I have 8 chickens and a rooster.
So I've had two CCL roosters one the son of the other. Both of them chased females around and try to grip them wherever they can get a hold off. The sounds the hens make are quite unpleasant but I've seen videos of chicken courting behaviour like rooster doing a little tap dance to woo the hens...
Main Objective: Minimise my rooster becoming antagonistic to me
Flock data:
2 Cream Legbar hens 42 weeks old Boss everyone around but not to the point of injury
1 Cream Legbar rooster 15 weeks old Has been docile but just yesterday has he been able to usurp the top hens and are about even in...
Do I have to intervene in a chicken chasing and pecking all the other chickens if there's no feather picking or blood or physical harm? Do I count this is bullying or the pecking order vibe check is supposed to be just daily for months and months.
I have 2 45 week old hens, 4 14 week old...
I have a problem. I have an open coop that I have no hope of rat proofing and a gravity fed feeder. At night, rats come in and have a feast. That feeder is reserved for the pullets I have. I feel like I either have to change the feeder to a tub with a lid. Although I got the gravity fed feeder...
I set out with a hatch with 14 eggs, by day 10, 9 I felt were viable because I could see veins but its day 23, 1 hatched healthily on day 20, 2 hatched early on day 21. The rest of the eggs have been non responsive and its day 23 now. I only opened the incubator when it was time to wet the towel...

13 out of 14 eggs hatched which is quite catastrophic but I'm going to try and do it better this time.
Here are some conditions of the hatch:
- Incubator used
- Temperatures...
I think I've made a huge mistake.
I have a batch of 14 cream legbar eggs. I'm using an incubator. Temp maintained at 37.5 C. Humidity kept at 45-55% pre lockdown. At lockdown humidity at 65-85 although there were moments of me waking up and finding it at 45% humidity overnight and 60% overnight...
My 14 week old Cream Legbar hen was making this call after i had settled sitting down in her chicken run . I was holding snacks earlier. I couldn't identify this call looking it up on the internet.

I'm a new chicken owner and I hate trimming animal nails even when its necessary, I guess I'm still a bit too sensitive to their discomfort. That said, one of my Cream Legbars which I believe is at least 6 weeks old, not laying yet, has the left most nail on her left foot angled a little to the...
