Little Lightning bolt was exhausted when he got moved to the brooder so I made a washcloth fort so the others wouldn’t be pecking at him/her. Then realized the whole thing needed cleaning again 😂 quick picture though of the d’uccle crew

S/he was stuck still this morning so ended up getting a full assist. Seems happy and healthy and is stumbling around the incubator drying out. :)

Lightning bolt is alive and well! Turned off livestream and went to find out what had happened because it was silent and no progress or wiggles since last night. Lo and behold, it started peeping as I opened up the pip! Put unprocessed coconut oil on the membrane to keep it moist and bumped up...

Lightning bolt is the last one in. Pipped but no progress. I’ll be checking in on it later tonight and assisting if there’s any point in doing so.

Candy Cane pipped but failed to hatch. I went to assist this morning but it was too late. Looks like the intestines didn’t retract all the way in. :( I’m sorry.
