Turns out all you need for everyone to get along is to forget to turn the heat lamp back on for about an hour. Oops! But at least acorn isn’t picking on everybody right now and it looks like lightning bolt has finally been accepted.

He literally has given three other chicks bloody noses. I’ve never seen a little booger so aggressive so early on. I am concerned a little for when puberty hits and he turns into an even bigger jerk

My other hobbies include pecking my siblings in the eyes and knocking the smallest one (lightning bolt) on to its back because it struggles to get back up and I can strut...

Lightning bolt is alive and well! Turned off livestream and went to find out what had happened because it was silent and no progress or wiggles since last night. Lo and behold, it started peeping as I opened up the pip! Put unprocessed coconut oil on the membrane to keep it moist and bumped up...

Candy Cane pipped but failed to hatch. I went to assist this morning but it was too late. Looks like the intestines didn’t retract all the way in. :( I’m sorry.

Morgan Freeman voice: “she did not in fact give up” Turns out I was right to worry about Martini. S/he was upside down and could not push out, the membrane was completely dry despite having an upper 60-lower 70% humidity. With a little bit of help, Martini is now hatched!* *sort of. Managed...
