Thank you for posting this question. I have been looking for answers on here for the same question and was just about to post the question. My pullets are also 2 1/2 months and they are all losing some feathers but 3 of my Barnevelders are losing a lot of feathers just above the tail...

    Just chick pics?

Hi! I am newbie to the chicken world. I have 3 BO's, 3 Barred Rock and 5 Barnevelders. They are 3 1/2 weeks old. Here's a picture of most of the brood. Will try to post a cute video later.

    Hydrating chicks

Thank you for this. It is a bit nerve wracking being a newby. They are flourishing but I certainly do not want to cause ANY harm to them. And there will definitely be more chicks in the future! :love

How about Colossal Calista? Calista is Greek for "most beautiful" and Colossal, well speaks for itself. :love

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

They are! One of my Barred Rock chicks is always over eager when I open the brooder cover and attempted to fly up to me. Thankfully the brooder is deep but not for long I'm afraid! Will post pics soon!
