    Very good tips. I wish I had read this 4 years ago when starting my flock. I may have avoided losing 1 to a hawk and 1 to a raccoon. No one enjoys losing livestock. But backyard chickens become part of the family, too. Thanks for these good tips.

    Like many here I'm sure, we started our little flock during the first days of covid lock down. So, we've had our ladies for 3 years now. We have 4 girls left from our original 6. Lost the 1st one, Cloudy, after 2 years to a mystery illness that the vet couldn't help with and lost another one...
