When I bought my first quail eggs it was a variety of colors, some where jumbo and some where not. Now I am wondering what is the best way to tell the difference.

Thank You all for your great responses. @CliftonQuail Do the Golden Oak game bird feeds contain GMOs, chemicals, corn, or soy?

The reason I switch to the Small Game Bird feed is I have a customer who wants Non GMO, Chemical Free, Soy Free, & Corn Free eggs. If I would supplement with oyster shell would it need to be Chemical Free etc.?

Last summer I started raising quail and now I have approx. 50 quails. I was feeding them Pheasant Breeder feed from Stevens Feed Mill, and now 5 weeks ago I started feeding them Small Game Bird feed from River Nutrition due to a different market for my eggs. I always find it interesting to learn more about chickens. If I buy eggs for hatching I definitely want to buy from someone who focuses on breeding for dark eggs.

Your maran eggs look nice & dark. I have bought several maran chicks last spring but they don't lay dark eggs, then I read that not all marans lay extra dark eggs but if they are hatch out of dark eggs then they should lay dark eggs too.
