This chicks father is a Novogen Brown rooster. Its mom is a cross from a Splash Marans rooster over a silver leghorn hen. The chick came out a silver and black chipmunk and is now getting what appears to be barring? Or is it just some random coloring? I believe its color scheme is heavily...
I have 3 chicks from a pure Bielefelder hen and a pure Novogen Brown rooster. They are 24 hours old in these pics. I know a barred hen and non barred rooster make sexable chicks at hatching, but I can't figure these out, possibly because the rooster is white. There are 2 pics each of the 3 chicks.

The first 2 pics are the possible father and mother combinations of the chick in question. Obviously, the rest are of the chick in question. Couple #1 is my Olive Egger and a Red Sexlink. Couple #2 are a Novogen Brown (Red Sexlink) and a mutt who is the daughter of the black rooster in pic #1...
In todays hatch, I'm thrown off by 2 of the chicks. I have one that's a black and white chipmunk, and one orange and yellow chipmunk! The dad of these newly hatched chicks is a full blooded Novogen Brown rooster, which of course has no barring or chipmunk. These new chicks only have barring in...
I'm looking for photos of Novogen Brown crosses, specifically N.B. rooster to any other type of hen. I introduced mine to my girls a couple of months ago, and finally this week I'm starting to set eggs aside for incubation that are from him. Anyone know if they'll all come out white like he is...
I just got a Novogen Brown rooster, which I guess is technically a Red Sex Link. If I breed him to some other Red Sex Link hens, will all chicks come out white like the father? I'm thinking they will, but not sure.
Novogen Browns are basically a Red Sex Link. I'm aware that sex links don't breed true and how they are made. I'm just not sure what traits would pass when breeding a RSL rooster and BSL hen. Any info on what color they would be?
I have 2 young roosters from the same mom and dad, but they look different. One is big, one is small. One has a crest, one doesn't. Ones pure white, the other has red on his wings. Will they breed the same? Can one pass on genes that look like the other one?
These birds are maybe about 2 months old. The blue ones I'm pretty sure are females, and the white ones I'm guessing are roosters because I've been seeing them play fight where the feathers on their necks flare out as they challenge each other. However one of the white ones doesn't have red comb...
The first 5 pics are the siblings in question. Pic 6 is definitely the mother, pic 7 is my Black Copper Marans rooster, and Pic 8 is my Olive Egger rooster. I always took for granted that the Olive Egger was the father, but now I'm not sure. Any suggestions? The young females legs are slate...
This little chick is not even 24 hours old, but changing colors right before my eyes. Those dark blue spots get bigger by the hour. Will the blue spots keep getting bigger, or will the white prevail? Pictured are her parents. Dad is from my Easter Egger rooster (in the profile pic) and a Red Sex...
I have a Black Copper Marans rooster I'd like to breed to my Welbar hen. I'm actually looking to get one cockeral from that cross, but of course would like some females as well. Anyone got pictures of this cross?
The guy I got this bird from off of Craigslist said it was a female Black Copper Marans. We'll he was sure lying about it being a female, so I'm now wondering if he's even a purebred. Any input?????
