    Splash Marans over....... ??????

What will I get breeding my Splash Marans rooster over a Silver Leghorn and my Welbar? I'm pretty sure the Welbar chicks will be sexed at birth due to the barring, but I don't think Welbars have black or blue in their color. So how will that react with a Splash Marans? Also curious about...

Barred boys, or girls? 1 week old.

I hatched some chicks exactly 1 week ago today from a barred olive egger hen and my F4 Olive egger rooster (not barred) I am definitely not an expert in sexing barred chicks so I'm looking for some help. I've read both males and females might have a spot on their hearts, but they might look...

    Silverudd or Splash Marans

Is this young rooster a Silverudd (Isbar) or a Splash Marans? I always thought he was a Silverudd mix because he has fuzzy legs. Now I came across Splash Marans and think he might be that. Any suggestions? EDIT..... he has green legs and feet, if that helps.

    Roosters?

These were born January 16th and I think they're roosters. Just here to verify before I get rid of them. They are from my F4 Olive Egger rooster and various hens. Pics 2 and 3 are the same rooster, and pics 4 and 5 are also of the same. 3 birds total.

    What would I get???

Silverudd rooster over barred olive egger hen. Will I get autosexed because of the barring? What might they look like?

    Pure bread Black Copper Marans?

I'm new to BCMs and I'm curious if these 2 roosters are purebred. Especially the one with silver on its neck. Any suggestions?

    Boy or girl???

These 2 were hatched about 2 1/2 weeks ago from the same hen (Red Sex Link) and rooster (F4 Olive Egger) and I thought for sure the one on the left was a boy and the one on the right was a girl. The one on the left is significantly larger and developed its wing and tail feathers much later than...

    White Olive Egger??????

I'm not sure you can tell by this picture, but this chick from my RSL has sideburns. I assumed the father was my Speckled Sussex, but is there a chance it's from my F4 Olive Egger? There are no other signs pointing to the OE, but the sideburns are throwing me off. The chicks legs are pink and...

First hatched is rolling all the other eggs around incubator!

The first of 11 eggs just hatched and this chick is smashing all the other eggs into the walls and into each other. Should I be worried? 5 others have ripped and 5 have not.

    BCM cockerals or pullets?

These two are about 7 weeks or so. I cant tell if they are male or female. At 3 weeks they showed signs of male since their combs and waddles were so much bigger than the others. But now I'm not sure if they both are males because they have different color pattern. I heard BCM males and females...

    Silver leghorn laying green eggs?

I bought 2 Silver Leghorns at TSC, and I notice they have green tinted earlobes now that they are about laying age. I have read that the earlobes will determine the egg color, but aren't Silver Leghorns white egg layers? I've been getting some small bluish green eggs recently, but can't identify...

    Full blooded Silverudd (Isbar) ???

I just picked up this rooster from a friend and after thinking he was a Splash Maran, I now think he's an Isbar. My friend doesnt know who the parents are as he has many roosters in the flock. He has hints of gold on his back, green legs, and an extra toe which I believe are Isbar traits...

White feathered and laying green eggs?

I am wondering if I can create a hen that has white feathers but lays green eggs using some of the birds from my flock. Specifically, I have an F4 Olive Egger rooster and I was wondering if breeding it to either my RSL or Silver Leghorn would make this bird. I'm not an expert in chicken...

    Now im not so sure....

I know for a fact this 4 week old hens father is a Speckled Sussex, but now I'm not sure her mom was too. When she was hatched she had the chipmunk look and so I assumed she was from my SS hen. The only other possibilities are a RSL, BSL, and a Welbar. I would guess Welbar by her color, but she...

Im pretty sure theyre roos. Whats your opinion?

These 2 are 3 weeks old and both from the same Speckled Sussex rooster. Ones mom is a RSL and the other an Australorp. They look like roosters, right?

    Speckled Sussex/RSL

Yesterday I hatched this chick from a SS rooster and I'm pretty sure the mom is a RSL. Can anyone tell me if it's a boy or girl? I assume boy because I believe RSL boys are all light in color. The red face on this one is throwing me off.

Can Speckled Sussex cross be sexed?

I have eggs hatching tomorrow from my SS rooster. He's bred with RSL, Blue Australorp, and Black Australorp.

    SS Roo with......

What will my incubated chicks look like? I bred my SS roo to Blue Australorp, Black Australorp, and Welbar.

    Blue Australorp and.... ????

My chick is about 3 weeks old and i know her father is a Blue Australorp, but I'm not sure who the mom is. Its either a Black Sex Link, Gold Sex Link, or maybe a Speckled Sussex. Another clue is she was hatched from a fairly large egg. I know my BSL lays large eggs, but im not sure the size of...
