    Question for people who incubate chicken eggs.

    Why do you use water in the incubator and worry about the humidity? I mean if a hen sat them she wont be adjusting the humidity. I also hear people doing "dry hatch" and getting better results than the 50/70% humidity thing.

    Will my Ameraucanas ever lay?

    Dang birds are stubborn lol . I got them as 5 month olds on Feb 9 2024 . I counted the weeks and its 24 weeks now and no sign of laying. They are bigger now though and if you place your hand on their backs they will submit. Except the Rooster, Buddy Ebson, He doesn't really like it lol

    If i recall the Buss Orpington can be wing sexed young , so can someone look at these and give your opinions? and yes this is 2 different birds lol

    Are these Ameraucana or EE?

    Sorry about the blurry pics of the pullets. I will try to take some with my DSLR later. Claimed to be Ameraucana. The seem to be the right coloration for them . beards and muffs. pea combs....BUT some EE resemble them a lot too.
