After 21 days of patience and a LOT of angry screeching, the hatching day for our little silkie mix is here! Around 8:30, I checked under her, to find her eggs with adorable little pips accompanied by little peeps! I can't wait for her babies (Two OEGB crosses, and 1 mystery egg) to emerge into...
2 weeks is too early for any solid answers, but they look like pullets to me. Try taking some in better lighting so we can get a good look at coloring. You can tell if they are getting red combs and thick legs, I think. Very adorable!
I have 3 baby chicks on the way. They are being brooded by a silkie mama, and I just wanted to know if there are any tips of how to make sure they thrive/essential supplies and medications to give them.
These are three edited photos of some eggs we just candled. We got 2 Old English Silver Duckwings crossed with mystery roo, and one egg that we have no idea about!

There are a few reasons. The first one being simply that they are cold. It could also be a respiratory infection that is causing it to do that. There are also various diseases that cause this. Are you raising it alone? It could be depressed, but usually it would not eat if it were. (By the way...
It is a bit early to decide, but roos usually have streamer like feathers near their heads, though that one probably doesn't have them yet, considering its age. Definitely try looking at some comparison videos and photos.
