    Does broody give any signs that eggs are about to hatch or are hatching?

    I moved my buff orpington into a large dog crate full of straw with 11 eggs I am assuming are from all of her friends as well. she hasnt really gotten off of them food and water is right next to her, they should hatch memorial day. is there anything extra I should do?

    When can "new chicks" go outside for good in winter?

    I have no heat in my coop and the older babies from this year are fine. My older chickens go out in the snow and hang out in the driveway by their rabbit friends same as the rest of the year. They don't seem to mind it, and I leave the garage door cracked enough they can get in if needed.

    Outside meeting everyone before they move into New pen. I believe they are buff orpington pullet, lavender orpington Cockerel and red sexlink pullet. Cockerel surprise roosters name went from violet to Loki.

    I believe I have a lavender orpington rooster, very sweet and purrs when you hold him and melts in your arms. Didn't really want a rooster but as sweet as he is and pretty my mind has changed. Hoping the Sussex are both hens.

    I have 3 hens a barred rock, Rhode Island Red and a silver laced wyandotte. A 50 pd bag lasts them about 10 weeks. But they are loose in their pen part of the day and running the yard the other part of the day. They only go into their house at dusk.

    SilverLaced Wyandotte or Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock

    The bottom are silver laced wyandotte and I don't know what the top ones are.
