Mamma might be sick, how do I treat?

Yesterday I could really hear her breathing. Today, she was sneezing. It got chilly and wondered if she was struggling to stay warm. I turned on the brooderabd put a blanket over the dog crate. She made a nest right next to the heater.

Yes, the rest of my hens lay brown eggs. She and the eggs she's laying on are blue and yes, I have marked them.

Hi I'm new here, my name is Jeni. Looking forward to learning more about my chickens.

The food is inside the coop but she does have to get off the nest to get it. It's a big 8x10 coop and on the other opposite wall the nesting boxes are on. Yes, I will definitely be checking and removing any extra eggs. She's the only one who lays blue eggs so it will be easy to spot. Thanks!😁

UPDATE on Black Betty: Definitely broody, I decided to give up the fight and let nature take its course. I had given a friend the most wonderful Roo named Big Daddy and a couple other Black Ameracauna's a while back. I asked her for a couple fertilized eggs from them and slipped them under...

Hi I'm new here, my name is Jeni. Looking forward to learning more about my chickens.

I gave away a hen that attacked her because she has such a history of being a bully. Now it's another one bullying. Maybe instead of trying to keep pulling her of the nest, just do the wire bottom cage method of trying to break the broody girl to accomplish it while also protecting her?

Hi I'm new here, my name is Jeni. Looking forward to learning more about my chickens.

I will give her a good look tomorrow. The only place I've noticed feathers missing is under her beak. Just a little. No visible mites, treated everyone with Ivermectin (1× then again 10 days later) just in case of depluming mites.

Hi I'm new here, my name is Jeni. Looking forward to learning more about my chickens.

I'm having a problem with my chickens. My Black Ameracauna has been staying in her nesting box all day every day. Still laying an egg every day. I assumed she was going broody. She's 1 years old and one of a flock of 5. It was six but now 5 because I just got rid of a real big bully who...
