So i had 5 fertile and 2 died before 28 days i think one was about day 21 and the other about day 25 but 3 made it to hatching one didn't make it because it started to get veins the whole way around where it should zip and it had pipped was doing really well and then i seen a little blood but it...
I did put mine on their sides for the first day in the incubator because when candling them before putting them into the incubator it looked like the air cells had re attached but when i candled the next day the air cells where back to moving around again so i suppose you could just lay them on...
Hello most people say to turn the egg turner off. I just hatched shipped duck eggs with damaged air cells and i had to cut out egg cartons and put the eggs in and leave them pointy end down because my air cell wouldn't re attach some peoples did re attach just leaving them pointy end down for...
Hello my duckling did do this also i only have a picture once the membrane dried not sure if you will make it out. It was in the wrong position and ended up having to be fully assisted after 36 hours after the pip but it did eventually break the membrane and just stopped. I had put a saftey...
Aww you don't need to thank me. Im sorry i wasn't more help. We are just learning and its not easy i didn't realise it was as hard until i did it myself. If you need any help just ask i will try my best :hugs
Aww im soo sorry its horrible. I feel so bad. I hope you are ok :hugsi think its worse when its soo close but sometimes theres a reason but you did everything you could
The only thing i can really think of is to take bits of the shell off at the air cell only and just take tiny little bits i used a tiny drill bit and just twisted it with my fingers very gently to get though the air cell to make a saftey hole some people use wood screws then i got some tweezers...
I had the same problem and i had brinsea mini eco i had put a couple of paper towels under the lid just the corners of the paper towel to try and let a bit of the humidity out bit not have the lid open enough. It seemed to work. Maybe worth trying.
Have you tried to candle the air cell again one if mine where really hard to see in the air cell i could only just make a triangular shadow in the cell but no bill in it. Can you see bruises anywhere on the egg? Im wondering if maybe its in the wrong position.
What is your temperature in the incubator? If its lower then maybe why its taking longer. Im really not sure if it would be worth putting a tiny saftey hole im the air cell? I really hope it hatches
