    galvanized nesting box issues

Does anyone use the older style galvanized nesting boxes? I've inherited and old 15 nest unit. The removable metal nest bottoms I assume go concave side down. No matter which way I put them in, many just fall straight down. I think I'm going to have to modify but want to see if anyone else has...

Bielefelder weight question. I've seen sources stating the roosters reach 10-11 lbs. and others stating 8-9 lbs. I'd like to know if thee is an official SOP weight and what folks own experiences have been. I've 4 bielefelder chicks in the brooder and I set 25 last night. thanks all

There were issues with shavings in water but I'm sure this behavior started in the first week, while I still had them on towel. She is eating and drinking.

chick, 3 weeks old, vent rear end contracting continuously

I have four chicks in the brooder. All the same age. One chick is almost half the size of the other three and it's vent/ tail /rear end seem to contract almost continuously. The vent is clear. Her behavior is otherwise unremarkable. Any ideas?
