My Brower Top Hatch incubator lid is Cracking -ALOT

I appreciate the info. But I did see the recalled model & it's not my model. There are detailed photos of how to tell your model & mine had the screw on this one 'arm' instead of the way the arm is put on the recalled model. I checked that before I even set it up. As I was bummed seeing the lid...

I was unsure of which incubator to go with when we bought one new. I knew I wanted one with an auto turner & also easy to clean incubator. -Yet I wanted to be able to monitor & watch the hatching chicks. We ended up bought a Brower brand Top Hatch incubator. We hatched with it with no problems...

My Brower Top Hatch incubator lid is Cracking -ALOT

My Top Hatch incubator is a little over 4yr old. It is dishwasher safe, although the hottest water I've washed it with is hot tap water...so no drastic temperature changes at all. I stored it inside the manufacturers original box. I opened the box to set up my incubator & seen 4 cracks in the...

My Holderead Buff is missing Lower Beak!!

I seen a tv vet show where they cared for an injured turtle & duck's 'mouth'.....they vet used some kind of modeling clay to mold a new bottom jaw for them. But I'd have No idea what kind they used. I'd assume it was one that hardens by UV light maybe? Hope all is well with your Gander!

She can also poach 4 eggs also...although we don't care for them, so I've never used her for that. To use her you poke...

How long after the Gander dies can the Goose eggs be fertile?

Thanks for your reply. :-) I didn't really think it could be fertile but I've read so many places the estimation on how long fertility lasts is usually so many days or so many eggs laid past the female mating with the male. I've had chicken eggs look the same way when testing eggs...and always...

How long after the Gander dies can the Goose eggs be fertile?

My Gander died last year just after breeding season was over. My Goose never laid another egg after he died. They were definitely mating thru mating season, she laid very few eggs that season, sat on a clutch of a few, but as a first time mother she wasn't the best sadly... either due to...

Sponsored Post Congratulations MamaNini! You won a beautiful coop from Handcrafted Coops!

The Best Advice I could give anyone who has or wants chickens is...."Never Stop Learning"....I grew up with farmer neighbors that had chickens for eggs, actually they still do. As an adult now I have had chickens for many years now myself. Just when you think your coups and pens are predator...

Just obtained 30 pullets that are malnourished and severly underweight.....NEED SOME HELP PLEASE!!!!

I think what groundpecker said is a Good idea! ....just like confining an animal for injury healing is smart. It would only be for a short duration while they gain some weight. No one would suggest smaller accomodations for a lifelong chicken living. I hope they gain weight & lay Well for you...

    Electric Henrietta/fresh eggs peel

I have had "Herietta" for quite a few years.....LOVE HER! I got her by chance at a resale shop for I believe $2.00 or maybe $4.00 The price is still marked on her box (but I don't have it handy in front of me to see for sure). I think it works so well due to how it has you pierce the egg with...
