Here we go again.. More death and I don't know why!

I know your pain! So sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately I have lost almost a whole flock to these same symptoms. That being said, there is somewhat of a cure but my advice would be to only let the chickens that are resistant to this disease live that way hopefully their offspring...

    Impacted crop won't go away!?!

I'm sure you have tried this but have you tried massaging her crop in a slow motion. If you have given her oil to loosen things up this may help. Just rub and massage her crop. How are her bowel movements? If they are watery or oily I would not give more oil. Also, have you wormed her?

    EMERGENCY SEVERE BRAIN INJURY

Hi, I am a bit confused with this case. To me, a head injury, I dont think the skull would just peel away like you may think. I honestly think it is a large hole in her head but I dont think her brain is showing. I would clean it daily maybe even three times a day with something like peroxide or...

Not an Emergency...Marek's in the Flock

I have considered it being coccidia because alot of the symptoms match up. The only reason I think it may not be is the fact that my birds look healthy, not dirty or unkept. Then one day they will start limping or just act like they cant control their limbs or neck even. I had a hen die and her...

    **Russian Orloff Fertile Hatching Eggs**

I am going to be selling Russian Orloff eggs. $20 a dozen plus shipping. Buyer pays shipping. I will add extra eggs if they are laid the day of shipping. The reason these are so cheap is due to the fact I am not hatching and need to move these eggs. The rooster is a spangled rooster. Chicks...

X2 Bantam hens are pretty tough but I always keep my separate from standards. They can get into some trouble and get pretty beat up. You will be very surprised at how good the mom will care for the babies. I LOVE my hens to take care of my babies. They are so much better than we are.

    New Chicks

Hey! Let me try an answer some of your questions. #1: Yes! It is a perfectly okay time to get chicks. To be honest I order all my springtime layers in August so they will be laying and breeding way before springs comes around and people are wanting chicks. #2 As for mixing breeds, there...

    BIGGER CHICKENS PECKING SMALLER ONES

Hi! Yes, definitely separate the two flocks. The problem you are having is your older hens already have a established pecking order. That pecking order does not include those new babies. They see them as smaller food eating machines who steal their food and space. It is always difficult...

I hit my rooster in the head what do I do

If the rooster is being aggressive to the point you cannot control him except by hitting him in the head PLEASE either rehome or eat him. He probably knows you and your sister are afraid of him so its not hard for him to get his way. Now, you will probably eventual lose him if the injury is bad...

Sudden Aggression By Rooster to One Hen

That is very weird. I don't think I have ever heard of a rooster ganging up on a hen like he doesn't like her. Just solve the problem like I do! Build a new coop and get another rooster! Hahaha
