The marshfield swap meet it at the Marshfield Saddle club 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., second Saturday of each month, one-eighth of a mile off Route A on Commerce Road in Marshfield, 859-4546 or 859-5301. We usually don't get there until closer to 8am or even as late as 9:00am I always post on craigslist...
We have about six hundred chicks and we are most likely getting more tomorrow and Thursday. We are trying to raise money to get our boys autism dogs so we need to take every chance we can to sell. We need three dogs and they are $13.000 each. We have just never been to JC and want to look and...
We will be a Jacob's Cave to Look/Buy on Thursday and possibly to sell/look/buy on Saturday. I'm excited about going we have not been before and I am looking forward to getting some flock. We are building our coops and runs this week.
We go to the Marshfield swap meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month. We should have some silkies in a few weeks.Hoping to have some before the swap meet in a couple of weeks but I am not sure if we can get them in time. I put three dozen in the incubator yesterday and looking to get more in a...
You and I know this I completely understand it. My question is if someone went up to a hatchery and said give me the males I will grow them out myself and pay for the processing myself so that none those chicks have to die. This way the hatchery can truely say the hatchery itself does not kill...
I know that hatchery owners read this so I wanted to just put this out there so they will have the information. The state regulates how many chicks hatcheries can have on their grounds and for how long. This is why most hatcheries must "get rid" of there left over chicks.
Here's my questions...
I know Jeff from Cackle and he doesn't do that to his leftover chicks. He would rather take a loss on the chicks and sell them at reduced prices. I know there was one chick that I guess hatched out late last year and they raised it in the shop there. We have also gone in there and gotten older...
We had a lot of success last year selling at the Fordland, Missouri swap meet. I think we sold about 175 chicks. I was wondering if anyone knew if they had started yet this year (2014), and if so the time and date of the next one. Thanks.
Cackle Hatchery is holding a contest for three winners.
NEW CONTEST
It's time to get started on our second contest for this year. It will be the same prize as before. Three lucky winners will be drawn to receive a $50 cash prize each! Here's what you need to do: Go to Cackle Hatchery's home...
The church we go to is in Buffalo, MO but we live right on the line of Buffalo and Long Lane.
And most definitely stop by we just got about 250 chicks this morning and we will have about that every week or so. We found out last year where to buy and whom to buy from. There is an auction we go...
People down here are a little stand offish but if she is a church goer that is a good way for her to meet people.
Our breeds are:
Black Copper Marans
Black Australorps
Buff orpingtons
silkie Bantams
Partridge Cochin Bantam
I guess technically we are going to do six breeds because we are...
Yes we are getting there. We just have to find help to get the runs built. And I wish I was young. LOL! It is going to be an early spring regardless of what the groundhog said. Birds are already flying north so I know spring has arrived.
Hello everyone sorry I have been gone for awhile but we had an interesting winter. We welcomed our seventh child in November and I was put on bedrest in early August. We were able to put a tractor together but we basically had to sell all the chickens we had last year. We learn't a lot last year...
