  7. First night in the new "Inn", May 5, 2013, - 1 rooster and 10 hens. The box under their roost is like a great big kitty litter box. It is filled with Sweet PDZ (horse stall refresher). Cleaning it is a breeze - just scoop it every couple of days. (I found this great idea from another Backyard Chickens member.)

  9. The builder and his masterpiece! (Almost complete . . . needs front porch!) The door is from my Grandparents old house that was built in 1939 and the red-trimmed double window from my family's country place - which was built around 1958 by my Dad and Pappy.

    We are in the process of building a new chicken coop/henhouse. It is quite the "Taj Mahal" compared to where they are at present. (I hope to post pics when finished.) Looking for any advice, tips, instructions, etc. on getting the flock to start using the new place, when complete. Thanks in...
