INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

I just wanted to update this... at 6 days old now, and hes walkin normal. The leg has pulled in on its own :) I know that is probably not normal, but he was too squirmy and I felt like I was stressing him out, so just thought he might have a slightly turned leg, which wasn't slowing him down...

How? I still see the bloom there, and use warm water, all cleaning instructions say cold water pushes bacteria in?

I tried to get one on my lightest Maran eggs, camera didn't see what I did. After day 12 you can water candle to get an idea of active chicks. (Some may not move but still be alive FYI) It's just for reassurance that at least they are growing.

Omg, Houdini is already walking around, as if he hasn't been having any issues. Still sits with a knee or whatever out to the side though. Hmm. I should do the sock thing again over night.

Oh... hmm. What the worst outcome? A hobbling chicken? It's getting around. I'm naming it Houdini. Pretty sure it's a boy too. Long comb pad... while out and about after dropping son at the SATs, I stopped to get my birds some more food, and I heard them from across the store... babies... happen...

Holy cow that looks very difficult solo with struggling chick... the sock is keeping the "hip" or "knee" right, and it ended up in a cup too lol... I'll check that out later to see if there was success with that and how long the chick took to straighten. I gotta get my son from his SAT test...

So here's one google isn't being helpful with or my search terms suck... the iffy Wyandotte is hangin on. Lookin better by the hour(s).., so it has splay leg, and hip? It's been walking a few steps now, so that's good. I have it in a tube sock cinched up and then in a cup(the bugger keeps...

Well... I'm hoping... But if you've seen my results of last two sets, it hasn't been good. With the wry neck straight out of the egg, this one is likely parent issues...I gave it some vitamins though already... It's crawling around now...just flips sometimes. It seems to be tracking, so we'll...

Thank you. After having the Wyandotte chick with the others, including the WTB, I've confirm my suspicions that's its feet look huge too. Pretty sure they're swollen. It has a small air sac on the right side of its neck as well... This chick is about 1/4 size bigger than the others, and came...

Alright! So I'm at 3 Araucana right now, 1 Wyandotte I'm not sure is gonna make it (lookin like wry neck straight out of egg, I'll let the breeder know), and 1 Whiting True Blue(still in incubator). 1 Wyandotte passed after pip'ing :( First two out and dry. The black one I posted earlier about...

ZOMG! I'm dying! First Araucana is out and is screaming (for me I'm assuming)... It had a pip when I got home, and I was talking/encouraging the first Wyandotte who pip'd and keeps banging its nostrils against the shell, and it went nuts n zipped out fast (20min, the Araucana) and is trying to...

I have some huge, very oblong Wyandotte eggs pip'ing a day or two early currently, had to move one this morning from the incubator to the hatcher because today is its actual lock down day, tonite technically, so it wasn't moved yet to the higher humidity with the Araucanas (one pip'd when I left...

Ty ty. I was already planning to go with low humidity, reset the machine to not alarm till 25% already...so that works out great for these then. I also thought after posting that these could possibly be multi yolkers too, which could be a bummer. Thanks for always answering my questions :) ETA...

Evening ppls... Just opened one of my shipped eggs today... Coronation Sussex... Look at these! Nicest eggs I've received yet, I think. They look fake almost. Very heavy eggs, hope that's a good thing... So, paid for 6, got 10, two behemoths... The average size egg is at the top of the...

The reasons why are many... I'll try to pick the most important... Prior to 18 you... -aren't old enough to make a legally binding decision (due to most teens [and under] lacking common sense, and/or experience to make an educated decision and understand repercussions) -don't have the right to...
