I hate heights, dw is super mad at me now for not being able to do our roof last week, even after renting a 45' lift, thought it would help and handled much of it, but the darn things are made for level ground....super scary....She's just going to have to figure out how we can pay to have...
Nothing better than a nail gun, especially if your building alone.
I just had $2,200 in metal roofing for our house delivered yesterday, doesn't look like it's worth no $2,200.....Dang materials are expensive...
Edit that, delivered Sat, the DW will be hounding me hard now to get it put upI...
Biggest problem with cats is the negative effect they have on animal populations in the world. We have leash laws for dogs in most places, even if there is no leash law, still illegal to let your dog run wild. I believe everywhere here requires dog licensing. Neither of these for cats, free to...
My father-in-law picks his apples out of the trees, and uses just the natural yeast that's on the apples, turns out great and around 5%.
Me, I shake the trees and pick the apples off the ground, much easier but have to lightly pasteurized cause of potential bacteria, add my own yeast anyway. I...
I get on political sites/'news sites' often, I'm not Jewish, don't know hardly anybody here that is, though there is many in the USA, my Aunt is (she left my bum uncle, smart girl) and we have a Rabbi visit our dairy plant once a yr for a month, when we run Kosher for Passover (super cool dude)...
We are thinking about going there (something different) instead of our local county fair which is super expensive.
I have pictures of me and my sister in a classic old car ride at Ghost Town/Rocky Glen (Moosic PA) I heard Knobels bought that ride/cars when Ghost Town closed. Thought it'd be...
I think of them as a cross between a rabbit as far as birthing and a cornish cross chicken as far as growing, of the goat world, most people never heard of them.
Kinders were originally a cross between Nubian and Pygmy, then through selective breeding bred true to the Kinder.
"Kinder does...
I would love to get Kinder goats, don't have time to milk though, at least not on a dedicated time schedule right now.
About the best dual purpose goat.
Best feed to meat conversion breed and kid more often than other goats, and give a good amount of butter fat and protein rich milk for their...
Hottest I go is habeñeros, and only in pickled eggs. Seems to take a hot one for the heat to come through. Eggs seem to neutralize capsaicin, jalapeños just don't cut it.
I heard there was a store that sold all sorts of craft brew beer and had one brand with a hot pepper in each bottle. I couldn't find it, asked the owner, said he carried it, everyone said it didn't taste good, but he can't keep it in stock, sells out quick...Lol.
Carolina reapers have the world record now, 1.5-2.2 million on scoville and they say "Normally superhots have chemical undertones as if you can actually taste the capsaicin. The Carolina Reaper has a sweet and fruity flavor"
So @LittleLakePhil was it 'sweet and fruity'? Lol! :-D
@Akrnaf2 how hot is hot paprika? I've only had mild, no heat paprika.
Do you add it so they lay better?
I've always heard cayenne pepper will get hens laying, thought of using Carolina reaper pepper powder, kick 'em up a notch.
It's not a antibiotic, seals protects, relieves pain and itching, heals super fast even bad wounds.
Believe it or not raw honey is also medically proven awesome for wounds, I've never tried honey though, seems odd. I just want to eat it. :-D
