Hey! How'd you get a picture of my dad! Ok not really, but his eyebrows are very much like that! And I got my eyebrows from my dad, if I don't do serious maintainence on them, they'd look like this, but on a 30 year old female... My son also inherited this eyebrow style, he is doomed with...

Erg second gosling is alive still, barely. Still no external pip. When removing bits of shell, noticed the veins still in the inner membrane as I hit one. Put back in the bator for a while. Gonna be a long night...

@Sally Sunshine Here's the first gosling!!! Appears to be a greyback Pomeranian! I love how my phone focused on the scratches on the incubator window instead. The other is alive and moving (did a quick candle when removing the empty shells). Up to 11 ducklings now I think we might have...

So the neighbor dog came to say hi to the chickens today He didn't get in the pen, but he scared one OVER the fence and chased her into my arms, then continued to circle the coop/run until his owner came to fetch him. What I don't understand is why they don't have the dog in their fenced...

Leave them in there until day 14 at least! I thought that was what was happening for a lot of my eggs, but it wasn't a blood ring at that stage, it is the chicks getting bigger/more blood circulating in there. My ducks are looking the same way, but the embryo is moving!

Don't have to stick to just walmart. My local grocery store with a bakery has buckets just like this. Got the insider scoop from one of the night managers to go in during the day, ask for the bakery manager, and ask if he has any buckets I can have for free/cheap.
