So last night two chicks had hatched and I had three more external pips and THE POWER WENT OUT. Ugh! I NEVER lose power! Our entire county lost power due to the main tva line breaking. In a panic, I drove the incubator to a friend's home in a neighboring county with the heat blasting in the car...

It's day 19 and I just KNOW someone is about to pip and start hatching early as soon as I go to sleep. Arg..

Wanted to share in hopes that this may help someone! During the last hatch, I had two sets of eggs from different breeders. One set a day behind the others. On day 21, one of the chicks had hatched and somehow gotten tangled in the incubator fan wires. I cracked the incubator open to retrieve...

Hey friends! I shared a pic of a few weeks ago of a duck with no eyes that I HAD to bring home from TSC. Wasn't really expecting it to even live, but it is 3 weeks old now! It is best friends with my dog, and enjoys lounging on the dog bed with her, or following her around the house! So cute!

I have a polish frizzle rooster that I really want to keep, but I have no idea what ladies I should put him with? What cross out of a polish frizz would people be interested in buying? Or would they at all? I'm no genetics guru either, so I have no idea what to cross with what to get what. Haha
