I finally have an update! I candled my eggs last night, 10 are right on track, 1 was clear and 1 quit. Not too bad I suppose. Now if hatch day would just hurry up and get here :D

Yea, I'm bummed out about it, but these things happen. I'd prefer to just buy chicks, but I've been having trouble locating them and I don't think they can be shipped. There are a couple of farms here in TN, I may try contacting them to see if they sell them or can atleast point me in the right...

Yep, they lay during the winter months. Nov-March I believe. And I don't really want to put in another 2 months of egg care right now.

Well guys, things aren't looking too good for my Emu eggs :( My egg that was wiggling and peeping is now dreadfully still and silent. There's also another stinker in there. I can't find it when I sniff test each egg individually, but I can smell it when I open the incubator. Oh well, hubby...

Thanks guys. It's a bummer, but these things happen. It could have been worse, at least that stinky egg didn't explode in my 'bator. If it had, I probably would've just had to throw it away!
