It is dried up, but it is not fluffed. I had this with my chickens, and a little bath did the job. But I'm worried about his eye because he is able to close and open it but he preferred to keep it close. His eyes are also abnormally large.
I have to take care all that I have neglected to take care of today now because of this hatch. So I will be back with updates I hate to leave it alone for 10 mins but I got other birds to keep alive :)

Jut started workin on the egg when I noticed that it had dried blood on the back of the shell no I'm not sure how to go about it the membrain of the egg seems dry and so it was hard to brake, the duck did a horrible zip job by not going all the way threw and just cracking a lot of the egg. So...
Ok should I dip the tweezer in something to disinfect them first? How long should I assist for? How do I know when to stop and give it more time? It's way over due it's hatch date and been zipped for awhile so it is probaly nessary but just a bit worried, I do know to stop if I see blood but...

Ok so the duckling is moving in the shell but I want to know if I should assist at this point since he was zipping an hour and half ago and has made some prgress but not tons and if so how do I assist it when it's zipping?
I don't know if I can get it past my mother but if it gets tamed enough I might get away with it. I was planing on getting dick diapers just so when I hold it I don't get pooped.
