We have several 3gal buckets that we use for water, with the goats and ducks.....this is what we use inside with them at nite.... ...it is about 5 1/2" deep and holds around 2-2.5gals. So, the problem wouldn't be if they would use it, but if the other animals would drink after them....chickens...

My wife, Joyce, has difficulty breathing lying in a bed, so she sleeps in a recliner and we like different temps too....so I sleep in the bedroom where I can crack open a window if needed. When Gabbie gets house broke I won't say she won't sleep on the bed some, but she will always have her room...

@JaeG just saw that a 6.2 earthquake hit down your way in the Kermadec Islands. Don't know how close that is to ya, but hope there's no damage.

It is actually a walk-in closet, but all I wear is T-shirts and blue jeans, so nothing is in there except some storage shelves....so, now it will be Gabbie's room. It is in the master bedroom and will be a good location for her....:)

Gabbie's room is ready for her to come home to tomorrow.... ...the front barrier is the top lid to the duck brooder. She'll have the whole room once she is house broken.....:)

We saw almost everyday for about a year, as Dad was stationed at Pearl Harbor, then he was transfered to a different base more inland....we lived in Hawaii for 3yrs....but, I have never returned there...I was 6 when we left in '64....:)

@N F C I have Khaki Campbells and Rouens....we have 5hens of each. The KCs started laying at 17-18wks, we got them the first part of June as day olds and they have laid ever since...they have only missed a few days during their molt...the Rouens slack back this time of year, but we do get some...

Winter wheat is fine, depending on the purpose ya are using it for. Personally, I don't prefer to plant something that attains a great deal of height to it and requires cutting it down....with any grain plant once it heads and is finished it doesn't just simply fall over and decompose as grasses...
