In the 80's, I reluctantly took a job as a telemarketer. I lasted about 30 minutes until the boss pressured me into pressuring an old man into contributing for whatever they were pushing. I apologized to the man on the phone, hung up and walked out.

I actually like delivering helpful stuff like that. Those things have important information that people might not be aware of.
