    Water softener water is really high in sodium--and you can't filter the sodium out with kitchen filters .(I really researched this because of my mom's high blood pressure.) You may have hit the nail on the head with this thought.

    Some do. Where I am, the SPCA will do innoculations and neuter at a feral cat rate, but also has separate clinics and the neuter people usually are only that. Do find out.     So nice to hear you say that! I just re-homed my favorite chicken because I am not allowed a 'roo and he was supposed to be a pullet! Everyday he was getting more interactive and friendlier and prettier....luckily I found him a safe home, but I miss him!
