Some chickies from this hatch, lots of brown chipmunky. Also 3 previous pics, tried doing it in one but phones acting up. Two Marans/EE hatched today, 2 days late. Meanwhile some of those that hatched early on Friday are getting wing feathers! Brings count to 51 hatched but 2 i assisted arnt...

Total hatch number: 49 There were some late bloomers/ assisted hatch so not sure how many will actually make it. Fluffy butt pics coming tomorrow!

Updated total: 49 hatched, 5 are still in incubator but out of shell. There's 3 remaining eggs that show life but this late its doubtful they'll make it out...but that means I still don't have a final number!

I feel the same way, I set a lot this time and will only be getting a little over 50% hatched. Last week I had 3 out of 3 hatch, one before that I had 19 out 20 hatch. I'm setting tomorrow and going to try to keep it small so I get a good rate. So sorry for your loss. We lost an amazing mare to...

So 39 in the brooder, lost 3 (42 hatched), 9 in the incubator pipped but slow progress. Candled the remaining, some quitters, but opened & found 18 dead in the shell (clearly from yesterdays mishap.) Focus on 39 cuties in the brooder though:) I'll wait to see which way those last 9 go before...

I got a white Legbar! Pulled 11 more out of the good dry hatcher this morning, & 1 out of the bad bator. Still a few pipping. Only have 3 chicks from my flock this hatch so far, but lots of cuties!

Yep I just did it twice when i hear s lot of thumping around in there, but then im definately not an expert since i think most of my chicks died in the bad bator (formerly known as attic bator) due to a broken window. Anyhow since ive opened the good bator the chickies keep coming regardless

Got 8 more chicks from dry hatcher, theres 2 more in there, and 9 more pips. 2 chicks from bad bator and 3 pips.I want to sure temp stabilizes before getting some sleep. Updated chickie pic!

Thanks Mike, im not throwing in the towel yet (tomorrow afternoon is 21 days), but I sure am kicking myself now for messing with that other bator. Gotta love the dry hatcher tho, thats all im using for the April hatch

Looks like Im having a great hatch in my dry hatcher. Ive added no water the entire time but its so humid here the windows have condensation. Ive removed 7 chicks so far, and the windows are so fogged I cant see but I hear a lot of thumping around and cheeping in there:) The attic incubator...

Aww..love those chocolate fluffy faces!! I have 4 hatched so far, 3 my own EE & 1 black Orpington bantum that was given to me. Many pips! I'm surprised my EEs are all very light this time, cream colored & stripey.

Just got home from work to 5 pips! Day & a half early as I set on Saturday afternoon on the 5th! Time to take a nap before the kids get up!

OK update on day 13 candling: To recap started with 92, removed 8 clear on day 4, down to 84. Today's candle removed 10 deceased, clouded like they were growing but no veining. 5 Marans were iffy (my gut say they quit), but left them in just in case due to the dark shell. So that leaves 74...
