I've had the most issues with the eggs I bought (lavender Ameraucana's) vs my own... had 2 not make it due to possible brain damage or nutrional def. And one tht had splayed legs (which are fine now). Hoping it's not genetic bc my plan is to breed them.

I thought about getting that one but decided for what we needed this one was less pricey. I don't hatch regularly but they have awesome products. If I ever stepy game up , I'll def be getting one of those!

My LG is now deep in the garage, Will prob never see the light again... lol any ideas for repurposing? My Brinsea is the best 99 bucks I've spent lol

I love my Brinsea mini eco. 100 % hatch rate. My LG did horrible too . Anything Brinsea seems to be really popular and good reviews.

I'm sorry ... I had a really hard time with the hatch from someone else's eggs too... It's roulette I guess bc we don't know for sure quality or how they handled them... That really sucks.

My one egg for EHA has a pip!!! Whohoo lol. (I have 22 other hatched chickies from earlier hatches this month) I feel so lucky to have the 1 egg I set specifically for this to have made it so far. I can't quote everyone but congrats to everyone with pips and peeps so far! Oh and the egg...

Update : 9 lavender ameraucana chicks made it! Hatched a few days ago. This was by far the hardest hatch I've done... My 1 EE egg is doing great and set to hatch on Sunday! Should be a pip tomorrow, I'm Eggcited!!! I had to have 1 egg for the actual hatchathon lol.. good thing it's done awesome.

Daddy Mom's are a cornish cross (wht hen) 2 tan babies with brown down middle, and a polish mix of some sort (blk hen) the different shades of grey. they are the two up top there. Not a great pic but they made some pretty babies, I'm super excited to see them grow.

Yay! Yes I love the different colors. The two brown striped ones came from my white hen, and the mixed greys from my black hen, all same EE rooster. I'm excited to see what traits they'll have. 2/7 are roosters. I have 15 lavender ameraucana eggs hatching mon/Tuesday so I'm starting lock down...

I did set my 25 eggs early because of the time frame. I did set one egg yesterday from my Black sex link lol. So I guess I have 1 officially for the Easter HOL. Just to note: YOu guys are awesome for keeping up with so many members participating!

I agree 100%, my 1 year old still doesnt sleep through the night... so when I get up with him I go check on the temps etc on the bator lol.

Thanks! I sure hope so! Oh my goodness, that is quite the collection! I guess that speaks volumes that you kept with the same brand! Do you have to adjust the Eco often as far as temp goes, or is it pretty steady?

Quick question for those who use Brinsea. Anyone use the Brinsea mini eco? I just bought off Amazon and its coming Monday. I'm currently using the Little Giant {still air} and I'm not too happy with it. Its doing the job but I just needed something with a little more control. The size is perfect...
