If they had no development and you have had 5/6 hatch I would say your incubator is working great :thumbsup
Ordering more straight away is pointing to incubating addiction :gig
Hope your hatched ones are doing well and good luck with your next set of eggs :fl
At 24 hours I would get your hatched quail into the brooder and get them eating & drinking. While doing this give the remaining eggs a candle and see if you can see any movement or internal pips.
They are super cute :love Sorry to hear you lost your first pipped.
They could be a little later than the others, has anything else pipped in your remaining 6 yet? They all don't pip at the same time. Would be so much easier if they did!! Have you had an even temp around your incubator? Still...
Congrats :clap Goodness! Have you not slept? :caf
Your hatched should encourage the others to get a move on. They all don't pip at the exact same time so you may have more pips this morning.
:gig I'm in UK too!! So it's 7pm here as well :D
No need to worry for at least 24 hours after the initial pip. Periods of rest are quite normal. Have a read of this article it's great ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-quail-eggs-and-brooding-quail-chicks
How many hours pipped now? I'm on a different time zone to you I think. I would try and get your humidity up to 65% by adding water the incubator not by misting the eggs. You don't want water to get into the pip hole and drown them.
They sure do rest and quite a lot too. They have a lot to do...
Congratulations :clap How exciting for you!! I loved incubating and hatching my quail, they were such cute little bumble bees when they hatched :D
Good luck with your hatch :fl
