My very first group of poults ever, I would pull them out of the brooder, lay a towel down in my bed and they would cuddle with me and go to sleep. Once I was ready to go to sleep, I'd move them back to the brooder. I felt bad every time because they just wanted to stay there and sleep with me lol
Just welcomed 20 new babies or of 21 eggs :) 18 CCL and 2 CCL/ameraucana crosses. The older turkey poults in the brooder are all hiding in the corner crying because there are little fuzzy aliens running around now lol
I had two poults hatch over the weekend. Not many but most of my girls took a break for a few weeks.
This one, I didn't hatch but is a guest at our house at the moment lol :)
I use plastic baskets from the dollar store to hatch in and mesh laundry bags to keep them in. I found laundry bags that are the perfect size for the baskets to fit right in and can fit 12 regular sized eggs in each basket. Baskets were 2/$1 and same with the laundry bags.
