We are in north central ky. I have black copper Marans, blue Marans and blue birchen Marans. The wife has bantam brahmas in buff and black. Oh, and olive eggers.
I use that link but have not yet this year. I use county fairs to get my birds used to the surroundings . They always have 4 H shows and this lets me introduce my birds to the sounds and sights. Always meet good people too. Casey,do you know anyone that has bantam brahmas. Thanks
The bluegrass show is April 6 at lake view park in Frankfort. Judging starts at 9. Always a lot of chickens. Depending on what county your in some fairs have open shows.
Would you care to name them,I will do bluegrass and the green river show. Do you go to any county fairs? I try to get all the county fairs that are not too far a drive. What breeds do you show?
I do too,I have seen several of these at shows and the eggs are good size. I tried to buy some at several shows last year but most people I talked with just would not price them. I'm not looking at first place birds,I can take the time to breed towards better. Maybe this year,in spring,I can...
Yea,and talking a chance of t storms tue and in the sixties. It's been very odd weather for the last three years. About the time the river clears up and you plan a trip for sauger we get four inches of rain. My coops and runs are covered and I don't let them out on nasty days, they don't like...
Do you have ice down your way? Driving was very tricky this mid morning. Winter weather is part of my job and sometimes it's very hard to get into some places. In town we had some sleet and some snow, the wind would freeze it as soon as we could get it melted.
I can't help you there,I'm full up in my truck. I don't know of anyone else going but I hope you find a ride. If you do look me up in the show, good luck.
if your like me,i want to pick my birds up because i think the shipping is the worst stress a baby chick could go thru but i guess one can't spend a fortune in gas either
