Tonight was tripe and penne with a jar of home-made/canned pasta sauce and fresh no-knead bread.

Today's our anniversary (#10!), so we're having Prime Rib Roast, King crab legs, mussels, baked potatoes and sauteed green beans.

Tonight my 8 year old son had a friend sleep over, so it was thin sliced pork chops, breaded (homemade bread crumbs!) then browned, and then finished in a foil covered pan in the oven, served with french fries. Fresh zeppole for dessert.
I really liked how crispy the homemade bread crumbs...

I added to the crock pot apple juice, beef stock, onion soup mix, dry brown gravy mix and a bay leaf.

I always make that after I've made roast pork. I chop up the leftover meat and into the soup it goes!
